Q.  Do I have to be in shape to join?
A.  No, you don’t.  We have our curriculum set up so that it will ease you into the discipline of training, and the initial exercise.  Regardless of your fitness level, once you start your training, you will immediately begin to see and feel the results.

Q.  Is Kung Fu difficult to learn?
A.  No, it is not.  You will find that the instructors of the school will help you to understand your material in a manner in which you will fully understand it.  Our classes are set up to be fun and rewarding to you.  You will also see that with the set up of the curriculum, the belt levels will become more challenging, but your learning will become second nature.

Q.  Will learning Kung Fu help my child in school?
A.  Yes, it will.  Because of the demands of training, your child will learn better focus, concentration and discipline, which will help them tremendously in their schooling and extra-curricular activities.

Q.  Do I have to lose weight before I start Kung Fu traning?
A.  No, you do not.  As with all work out programs, it’s always wise to get a doctors okay for a fitness program.  But, beginning training is one of the best ways to start losing weight.  After you’ve trained for a while, you’ll be better prepared mentally and physically to maintain your ideal weight.

Q.  Am I too old to start learning Kung Fu?
A.  Wei Yong Kung Fu Academy’s instructors have experience working with all ranges of ages.  Our younger classes start at 8 years old, and we’ve worked with many students up into their 90’s.  Kung Fu is a great way for all ages to maintain their active lifestyle, along with learning new and improved ways to gain and retain flexibility, agility and stamina.

Q.  Are there a lot of women that train in Kung Fu and your other programs?
A.  Yes, there are.  Women find that the Kung Fu traning is a huge asset to their lives.  Not only does it help with their self-confidence, and self-discipline, but it’s a great way for them to maintain their weight, agility, stamina and flexibilty.  Many of our self-defense applications will teach them how to rely on agility and not brute force.  Our kicking classes are a very popular way to maintain muscle tone as well.
